Femur nonunion with deformity and shortening treated with a Blade plate

Pre-Op: Robert is a 50 year old attorney who after a ski accident sustained a proximal femur fracture.
Pre-Op: After 3 unsuccessful attemps at repair, he was left with pain, shortening, and a bad limp from a recalcitrant nonunion.
Post-Op: After a careful plan, the hardware was removed and the nonunion was repaired and the deformity and LLD were corrected with a blade plate.
Post-Op: An internal bone stimulator was added to enhance healing potential.
Follow Up: Bony healing in excellent position. Recovered with excellent function.
Follow Up: He has returned to his busy and active lifestyle.
