Ankle Distraction and Osteotomy for Arthritis and Deformity
Doctor: S. Robert Rozbruch
Patient: Claudia
Pre-Op: Claudia had ankle trauma that resulted in post-traumatic arthritis and varus deformity. She experienced pain and stiffness.
Post-Op: We performed a distal tibia and fibula osteotomy to correct the varus deformity… and a simultaneous ankle distraction for the arthritis.
Follow Up: Two years later, she has minimal pain, good mobility and a much wider joint space on x-ray.
