Radius Lengthening for Wrist Deformity Correction
Doctor: S. Robert Rozbruch
Patient: Eve
Pre-Op: Eve broke her wrist a few years ago and injured the growth plate.
As a result, she developed a wrist deformity with pain. Note the shortening and deformity of the radius.
Post-Op: The radius was gradually lengthened and straightened with an Ilizarov/Taylor Spatial Frame. Bone graft and internal implants were not needed.
Follow Up: The frame was removed after 2 1/2 months. Full correction was achieved.
